Congratulations to Newcastle United fan David Mallen, who last month won the signed Alan Shearer Newcastle shirt, with all profits going to St Oswald’s Hospice.
David, along with the other 147 entrants in this draw, helped raise a fantastic £400 for the charity who provide specialist hospice care to North East adults, young people, babies and children with life-limiting conditions.
David, from York, said one of his reasons for entering was a personal one, and was delighted to hear he had won.
“I heard about the competition from the charity,” he said. “My friend’s dad was previously at the hospice and recieved excellent end of life care.”
He added: “I entered the draw as a way of supporting the charity but to win is bonus. It’s unbelievable really, thank you so much!”
